Biography

Early in his life, Milan Sv. Durdevic showed a keen interest in film making , which eventually led him to study Music Composition, with the principal idea of pursuing a career in film. He learned to play the Violin, Trombone and the Piano and after graduating from high school he did his Master's degree in Music Composition and Orchestration.
Right out of school, Milan captured the attention of several directors from Spain. He scored numerous shorts and documentaries. His scores range from the grand classic symphonic settings to smaller, more intimate chamber music. He is perfectly capable of managing various styles and injecting his own personality into each, while capturing the unique soul of the story. With his broad musical understanding, he is able to reflect the visual experience in a music score filled with dramatic subtext and emotional sophistication.
He is also experienced as a producer, programmer, musical assistant and orchestrator, with good basis in midi implementation. He began exploring midi electronic music back in 1990. First He had Casio synthesizer VZ-1 with alesis mmt-8 midi part sequencer, than Alesis SR16 Drum Machine, Roland TR-909, Roland U220 module and Korg X5D.
He is also teaching music to students of "Stankovic" music school.
By working in all these various fields, Milan has strengthened his communicative skills and received a valuable experience on how to approach people and suit their needs, however different those might be. He believes that his ambitious work, flexibility, enthusiasm and open-mindedness will prove him a prolific film composer in the years to come.
