Biography
Milan Sv. Durdevic showed a keen interest in film making from an early age, and this led him to study Composition, with the idea of pursuing a career in films. He learned to play the Violin, Trombone and the Piano and when he finished high school he did a Master’s degree in Composition and Orchestration.
After completing a Master Grad in Composition for Film, Milan captured the attention of several directors from Spain. He has scored numerous shorts and documentaries. Milan's style ranges from the grand classic symphonic setting to smaller, more intimate chamber music. He manages various styles and injects his own personality into each, while capturing the unique soul of the story. With his broad musical understanding, he is able to reflect the visual experience in a music score filled with dramatic subtext and emotional sophistication.
He also has good basis in midi implementation. He began exploring midi electronic music back in 1990. First He had Casio synthesizer VZ-1 with alesis mmt-8 midi part sequencer, than Alesis SR16 Drum Machine, Roland TR-909, Roland U220 module and Korg X5D.
Besides Composition and Orchestration, Milan is also a good producer (produces all of his music) and programmer etc. He has been worked as musical assistant, orchestrator, music programer. By working in that fields Milan has found that He has strengthened his communicative skills and received a valuable experience how to approach to people of different needs.
He believes that his ambitious work, flexibility, enthusiasm and open-mindedness will pave the way for his film scores.
